The breakout session “Upgrading democracy – what can we learn from populism?” was devoted to analyzing the roots of populism in Western democracies and answering the question of how can we reform our systems without compromising on its foundations. Director at the Centre for Russia Europe Asia Studies, Ms. Theresa Fallon, Senior Fellow at McCain Institute, Mr. David Kramer, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Mr. Konrad Szymański, Member of Hungarian Parliament (1990-1994, 2014-2018) Zsuzsanna Szelényi and Chair of the Centre d’étude & de réflexion pour l’Action politique Nicolas Tenzer engaged in a heated debate about the future of democracy.

25th Anniversary of Poland’s membership in NATO: International Conference

The Casimir Pulaski Foundation, the organizer of the Warsaw Security Forum, and the Delegation of the Sejm and Senate of the Republic of Poland to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, in cooperation with NATO, are organizing a celebration of the 25th anniversary of Poland’s accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The event is scheduled to take place on March 18th, 2024, in Warsaw.

WSF at Munich Security Conference 2024

The 60th anniversary edition of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) concluded on February 18th. A Polish think tank - the Casimir Pulaski Foundation (CPF), was one of its official partners. The activity of CPF was not only limited to the participation of its representatives in the event (the chairwoman of the Warsaw Security Forum, Prof. Katarzyna Pisarska and WSF program Director Bartłomiej Kot. The Foundation also hosted a closed dinner with the participation of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, as well as a number of ministerial guests and parliamentarians from Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Iceland, France, Germany, Great Britain, and the USA.
