Andrzej Karkoszka

Director of Market Development in Augusta Westland

The Researcher at the Polish Institute of International Affairs, at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute and at the EastWest Institute in New York. A Professor at the George Marshall Center, European Center for Security Studies in Germany and at the National Defence University of Warsaw. Main adviser at The Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces. Lecturer at the NATO University, the SHAPE School, the Academy of Diplomacy, the NATO Baltic College and many more.

Member of the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the numerous sessions and conferences. An expert of the UNIDIR. Since 1990 regular adviser to the President of Poland. An adviser and a Director in the Ministry of National Defence. From 2004 to 2009 member of NATO High Level Group.

 

In years 1995 – 97 he was a Deputy Chairman of the negotiation committee on Polish accession into NATO. In period between 1995 – 98 he served as the First Secretary of State and Deputy Minister of National Defence. In year 2004 Karkoszka served as an advisor to the Ministry of National Defence on the Strategic Defence Review which was the first in democratic Poland’s history. In the years 2012-14 he was a Chairman of the State Security System in the Strategic Review of the State Security under the President of the Republic of Poland
