Former Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Hungary

In 1983 graduated the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest in law and later gained experience as a lawyer. From 1988 member of the Hungarian Democratic Forum (MDF). In 1991 for few years joined the government as a Parliamentary Secretary of State of the Defence Ministry.
From 1994 to 1998 returned to practice law in Szombathely. In Viktor Orbán’s government served as Secretary of State in the Ministry of Justice. From 2002 for two years held high functions in the MDF party (including Vice-President) and Members of the mandate on behalf of the Democrats. In 2004 joined Fidesz.
In 2006 and in 2010 re-elected to obtain the National Assembly on behalf of Fidesz. Appointed Minister of Defence in 2010.
