A graduate of the London School of Economics and the University of London. Served as the EU Advisor to the President of Poland from 1996 to 2000. Then headed the Office for European Integration in the Chancellery of the President. From 2001 to 2006 served as the Director of the Department of the European Union in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where was responsible for EU accession negotiations and subsequently institutional reform in the Union as well as negotiations on the Financial Perspective. In 2006 became President of demos EUROPA – Centre for European Strategy. In addition to his role, a Member of the Lisbon Council, Member of the Advisory Board of the European Policy Centre, Baltic Development Forum, Co-President of BELA (Broader European Leadership Agenda) Foundation, Member of the Council of the Amicus Europae Foundation.
