Vuk Jeremić

Mr. Vuk Jeremić is the President of the Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD) and Editor-in-Chief of Horizons, a global public policy English-language magazine. Jeremić was previously President of the 67th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, having formerly served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia. Throughout his five years as Foreign Minister, Jeremić represented Serbia at high-level meetings of various UN sectors including the Security Council, Human Rights Council, UNESCO, Alliance of Civilizations, Conference on the Least Developed Countries, Nuclear Security, and the 2010 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. His previous positions include head of the Migration, Asylum and Refugees Regional Initiative and the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization for OSCE, Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers chair, Senior Foreign Policy Adviser to the President of the Republic of Serbia, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Democratic Party, and Adviser for Foreign Affairs to the Minister of Defence of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro. Jeremić also has a strong background in finance and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in theoretical physics from Cambridge University (United Kingdom) and a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government (United States).
