Polish-Ukrainian economic cooperation as a key topic of the “Industrial Defence and Energy Summit. Europe meets Ukraine 2017” – the official event of the Intergovernmental Committee under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Ministers Matusz Morawiecki and Stepan Kubiwa.

On 21 April 2017 in Warsaw will take place “Industrial Defence and Energy Summit. Europe meets Ukraine 2017” (IDES17) organised by the Casimir Pulaski Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Development, the Industrial Development Agency, and the Innovation Centre FIRE Foundation.  IDES17 is the official event introducing  the next day’s (21 April 2017) session of “Polish-Ukrainian Intergovernmental Economic Cooperation Committee”. The session will be led by Deputy Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki and Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiw.

The deliberations of the Polish – Ukrainian Committee as well as IDES17 are the result of the meeting between President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda and President of Ukraine Petro Poroszenko, which took place in December 2016 on the 25th anniversary of recognising Ukrainian independence by Poland. Both sides declared their willingness to strengthen the economic cooperation between states on both institutional and business level.

During the “Industrial Defence and Energy Summit. Europe meets Ukraine 2017” several areas of cooperation and development within the arms industry and energy sectors in Central Europe will be discussed. The Summit is held under patronage of the Ministry of Development, Ministry of Energy, National Security Bureau, Industrial Development Agency. The event supported by NATO.

This event is realised in the framework of Road to WSF 2017.
