Warsaw Security Forum concluded
As in the past, this November the Casimir Pulaski Foundation had the pleasure to organize the fourth edition of the Warsaw Security Forum. The event took place in Warsaw’s Double Tree by Hilton Hotel between November 8th and 9th . Like in previous years, the 2017 WSF Conference gathered key policy makers, industry leaders, as well as military and civilian experts from around the world in order to discuss events, trends, as well as opportunities and challenges lying ahead for the Transatlantic Community.

New features of #WSF2017: side tracks
This year Warsaw Security Forum will consist of some new and interesting features, which distinguish the 2017 edition from the previous ones. One of such features is three major side tracks, so-called a general direction of the discussion: Global Outlook track, Security track, and Defence track. The tracks are included on both days of the program and mostly cover the breakout sessions.

Today, the Casimir Pulaski Foundation hosted a press meeting regarding the upcoming War Game «The Air-Land battle on NATO’s Eastern Flank». The attendees of the meeting were President of the Casimir Pulaski Foundation, Zbigniew Pisarski, Vice-President of the Potomac Foundation, Phillip Petersen, and Director of the Wargaming Studies and Simulations Programme at the Casimir Pulaski Foundation, Jacek Bartosiak.
The significance of the War Game, organized by the Pulaski Foundation, for Poland and its security
The Wargaming Studies and Simulations Program at the Casimir Pulaski Foundation are directly related to the national security, geo-strategy and art of war. The Wargaming exercises especially help in the development of a regional and NATO’s understanding of the nature of the Russian military threat to the Baltic States and Poland.
Why is the Wargaming simulation important for NATO, and what are the potential outcomes?
According to the opinion of many experts on security and defense issues, the Wargaming exercises are extremely important. Notably, they help in the development of a regional and generally NATO’s understanding of the nature of the Russian military threat to the Baltic States and Poland. Indeed, Baltic countries and Sweden are already employing the Hegemon Baltic Campaign exercises in order to identify force structure and defense planning requirements for defeating Russian General Staff plans for the occupation of the Baltic States and disintegration of the European Union as well as the Alliance.
Dr. Phillip Karber in Poland to participate in Hegemon War Game “The Air-Land Battle on NATO’s Eastern Flank”
The Hegemon platform computer-based simulation game, called “The Air-Land Battle on NATO’s Eastern Flank”, is going to take place in Warsaw from 12th to 14th of September 2017. The War Game is organized by the Pulaski Foundation, in close cooperation with the Potomac Foundation. A special guest, in the person of the President of the Potomac Foundation Dr. Phillip A. Karber will be among the participants.

What is the Territorial Defense Forces potential? The War Game with the participation of NATO and EU commanders and experts
On September 12-14 this year, the Casimir Pulaski Foundation in collaboration with the Potomac Foundation organizes the HEGEMON platform War Game, called «The Air-Land Battle on NATO’s Eastern Flank». Among the participants of the event will be the representatives of NATO and EU forces as well as military experts. The Game will assess the effectiveness of the newly formed Polish Territorial Defense Forces. The War Game will be played in the context of the upcoming maneuvers related to Zapad (West) 2017.

One more event at the Road to WSF – “Industrial Defence & Energy Summit. Europe Meets Ukraine 2017”
Another crucial event that was organized at the Road to Warsaw Security Forum 2017 was the “Industrial Defence and Energy Summit. Europe meets Ukraine 2017” (IDES17). Polish-Ukrainian economic cooperation was a key topic of the official event under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Ministers Mateusz Morawiecki and Stepan Kubiw. The summit which took place in Warsaw on 21 April, 2017 was organised by the Casimir Pulaski Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Development, the Industrial Development Agency, and the Innovation Centre FIRE Foundation.
