Both gentlemen are experienced policymakers and they are a great asset to our Program.
Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz is a Polish politician, Member of the European Parliament and the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland (1996 – 1997). Over the years, he held many other high-ranking positions in the Polish government, inter alia, the Minister of Justice and the Attorney General (1993–1995), and the Minister of Foreign Affairs (2001–2005), etc. Mr. Cimoszewicz’s accomplishments were fundamental in bringing Poland to the European Union’s membership.
Along with Marcin Piątkowski, Mr. Cimoszewicz will run a webinar „Poland’s Road to EU Membership: Lessons Learned”.
Roland Freudenstein Roland Freudenstein is a Policy Director of the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies, the think tank of the European People’s Party in Brussels. Previously active in the think tank world (German Council on Foreign Relations), global democracy support (Konrad Adenauer Foundation) and public service (European Commission and Hamburg State Government). He is a specialist on European integration and international security so our webinar on “Cooperating with the EU on Major Security Challenges” will be led by a seasoned practitioner.
