Diana Caprita is a senior parliamentary advisor within the Economic, Industry and Services Committee of the Senate in the Parliament of Romania. In this capacity, Ms. Caprita makes a significant contribution in reviewing, examining and writing legislative proposals in the fields of: regional development, the development of small and medium enterprises, implementation of a common EU trade policy, State aid and competition, the generated impact made on national economy by environmental policies, energy and transport policies, sustainable development new strategies;

During the last 6 months, Ms. Caprita was coordinating the activity of the parliamentary committee of inquiry to establish the causes of the substantial increase in natural gas and electricity prices on the European market. From this position she analyzed the regional context and the main factors, both exogenous and endogenous, which have generated additional pressure on the energy market across the EU, focusing on solutions to ensure the necessary supplies for both companies and end consumers.

Ms. Caprita holds a BBA from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies- the Faculty of Business and Tourism in which she specialised in Commerce, tourism, services, commodity science and quality management. Additionally,, she holds a MBA from the Faculty of International Economic Relations within the Bucharest University of Economic Studies in wich she specialised in managing international projects. Ms. Caprita holds a PhD in Circular Economy, in which she researched important aspects regarding the transition from the linear economic model towards a more sustainable model for both business and environment. In her research she also focused in studying the progress on achieving green targets without affecting economic security.
