Col. Mariusz Chmielewski

Col. Ph.D. Eng. Mariusz Chmielewski is responsible for the IT Division at NCSC. Previously, he was the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Cybernetics, supporting the creation of education and research in the field of cybersecurity and computer science in the Ministry of National Defense.

In 2003, as the top student of the Military University of Technology, he began research and training in the field of command support, computer simulation and the application of artificial intelligence methods at the Faculty of Cybernetics of the Military University of Technology.

In 2012, he took his Ph.D. with honors in the field of application of AI methods and analysis of semantics in the identification of crisis situations.

He is a laureate of many prestigious awards for scientific and inventive achievements in the international arena in the field of biomedicine and command support. Technological and scientific mentor of many teams of students and employees of MOD in the ImagineCup, Cyber 9/12 and hackathons technology competitions.

Since 2018, he is a representative of the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Poland in the European Defense Agency as CAPTECH of the Modeling & Simulation working group.
