Gabrielius Landsbergis was appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in December, 2020. Mr. Landsbergis has been a Member of the Seimas (Parliament) of Lithuania (since 2016) and a Chairman of the Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats Party (since 2015). From 2014 to 2016 Mr. Landsbergis served as a Member of the European Parliament and its Committees on Foreign Affairs (AFET, SEDE) and International Trade (INTA). He is an active Member of the European People’s Party Group (EPP Group). Earlier in his career, Mr. Landsbergis worked at Lithuania‘s diplomatic missions in the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg as well as at the Office of the Government.
Mr. Landsbergis holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy as well as a bachelor’s degree in History, Vilnius University.
