Yuriy Veniaminovych Husyev is a Ukrainian politician and public person.., ex-Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine (2014 — 2016). Chairman of Kherson Regional State Administration since the 13th day of July, 2019 till December 3, 2020. On December 3, 2020 Yuriy Husyev was appointed a General Director at Ukroboronprom State Concern.

He was nominated a member of Ukraine’s parliament at 2019 elections from the “Servant of the People” political party, No. 41 in the list. However, he decided to withdraw from elections

1999: Youth Policy Advisor to the Governor of Kherson Regional State Administration.

2002: Ran for the Verkhovna Rada seat from the “Team of Winter Generation” electoral political alliance.

Till 2009: Managed several commercial companies.

2009–2014: Employed at various governmental agencies: Head of an advisory group to the Minister of Economics, Director of the National Projects Department, Advisor to the Minister of Finance.

2014–2016: Worked at the Defense Ministry of Ukraine: Head of the Economic Activity Department, Deputy Minister and Chairman of the Reform Council, co-initiator of the “Volunteer Landing Force”.

2016: Advisor to the Minister of Infrastructure.

2018: Advisor to the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Recourses.

2016–2019: Private entrepreneur. Advisor and Counselor to the National and International financial institutions — IFC, EBRD, PrivatBank.

13 July 2019 – 3 December 2020: Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration

3 December 2020 – until the present: General Director of the State Defense Industry Concern “Ukroboronprom”
