Jelena Jevtić is a Program Coordinator for NewGen Peacebuilders (NGP), a global youth peace education, training and mentoring program. On behalf of NGP, Jelena is a representative in the United States Youth Peace & Security (U.S. YPS) Coalition in Washington, DC, USA. She co-led an on-ground research in Serbia on peace education and is currently working on implementing the NGP program in the Western Balkans in 2021. Jelena is a recipient of the Peace Research Institute of Oslo (PRIO) scholarship, a recipient of the 2020 Scholarship for Peace and Security from OSCE and UNODA, a UN Habitat-certified facilitator for Soliya Connect Program, and a Newman Civic Fellow. She holds a BA in Political Science from Bluefield State College in Bluefield, West Virginia, the United States, and is currently pursuing an IntM in Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies (IMSISS) at University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom. Her research/practice interests include international security, arms control, disarmament, non-proliferation, and EU integrations.
