Ararat Mirzoyan
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Armenia
Dr. Ararat Mirzoyan holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in History from Yerevan State University, and earned a PhD in History from the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute in 2005. His early career included roles as a Junior Researcher at the Armenian Genocide Museum and Chief Archivist at the National Archives of Armenia. He later worked as a specialist at HSBC Bank Armenia, an analyst for REGNUM International News Agency, and a coordinator for the International Foundation for Electoral Systems. Mirzoyan also held positions as Head of Research for the “Aurora and 100 Lives” initiative and an expert for the Netherlands Institute for Multi-Party Democracy. In politics, he served as a Member of Parliament, First Deputy Prime Minister, and President of the National Assembly. Since August 2021, he has been Armenia's Minister of Foreign Affairs. He is a founding member and board member of the “Civil Contract” party and has authored numerous analytical publications.
