Guillaume Ollagnier

Guillaume Ollagnier, born on May 18, 1975, is a Senior Foreign Affairs Adviser and currently serves as the Director for Strategic Affairs, Security, and Disarmament at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, France. Since April 1, 2021, he has also served as Head of the Department for Europe, North America, and Multilateral Affairs at the Directorate General for International Relations and Strategy of the Ministry for the Armed Forces. His previous international roles include Minister-Counsellor at the French Embassy in Berlin (2017-2021) and Political and Press Counsellor at the Permanent Delegation of France to NATO (2011-2012). In ministerial cabinets, he was Deputy Director in the cabinet of the Minister for Foreign Affairs (2016-May 2017), Adviser to the Minister for Foreign Affairs on Strategic Affairs, Russia, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) (2014-2016), and Technical Adviser to the Prime Minister for Strategic Affairs, Russia, the CIS, and Asia (May 2012-2014). In central administration, he served as Special Adviser to the Secretary General of the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs (2008-2011), and held various roles in the Human Resources department and the Directorate General for Administration of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs (2003-2008). He also worked in the International Economic Affairs Directorate from 2000-2003. Guillaume Ollagnier is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris (Public Service Section) and is fluent in English and German.
