Zhikica (Zach) Pagovski

Zhikica (Zach) Pagovski is the Director for strategic partnership at Foreign Policy. Prior to this, he was an Interim Director and Senior Manager for development and institutional partnerships at the Center for Civilians in Conflict where he worked to support communities around the globe affected by armed conflicts and wars. Before joining CIVIC, he was the Manager for strategic partnerships at the German Marshall Fund of the United States, an organization that works to strengthen transatlantic relations in the spirit of the Marshall Plan.

In the past, Pagovski was a research fellow at the NATO Association of Canada and Young Professionals in Foreign Policy in Washington DC, writing and contributing on issues related to security and defense, public diplomacy, and democracy and civil society. He also worked as a consultant for sustainable development at Challenge Future – a start-up think tank based in Slovenia. Pagovski’s former professional experience also includes work at the United Nations and the Government of Macedonia.

Pagovski holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from American University’s School of International Service in Washington DC. He obtained his B.A. from the American University in Bulgaria double-majoring in European Studies and Political Science & International Relations.
