Cezary Tomczyk

Cezary Tomczyk was born on August 25, 1984, in Sieradz. He graduated in political science from the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at the University of Warsaw and completed Higher Defense Courses at the National Defense Academy. Tomczyk has a keen interest in national defense, European affairs, politics, and public relations. He began his political career as a councilor in the Sieradz City Council and has been a member of the Polish Sejm since the 6th term, serving through the 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th terms. He has been a continuous member of the National Defense Commission since 2007, serving on the Committee on State Control from 2007 to 2009 and on the Committee on Public Finance from 2009 to 2011. He was also a delegate to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly from 2009 to 2011 and has been involved in the Committee for European Union Affairs since 2011. In 2015, he served as Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and spokesperson for the government of Ewa Kopacz. He was the vice-chairman of the Civic Platform (Platforma Obywatelska) and chairman of the Civic Coalition (Koalicja Obywatelska) Parliamentary Club from 2020 to 2021. On December 13, 2023, he was appointed by the Prime Minister as Secretary of State in the Ministry of National Defense of Poland.
