Brussels, January 2025 – Last week, representatives of the Warsaw Security Forum (WSF), including Prof. Katarzyna Pisarska and Tomasz Obremski, visited Brussels to present the WSF 2025 initiatives to the newly appointed EU and NATO leadership. The delegation engaged in over 20 high-level meetings with officials from the European Commission, European Council, European Parliament, and NATO Headquarters, focusing on critical global and regional security priorities.

The discussions emphasized four key advocacy issues supported by the Warsaw Security Forum:

  • Ensuring sustainable military and financial support for Ukraine.
  • Effectively countering Russia’s state-sponsored destabilization activities in Europe.
  • Encouraging European nations to strengthen their defense efforts.
  • Preserving coherence and unity within the Transatlantic Alliance.

WSF expressed gratitude to key figures for their commitment to these pressing matters, including Andrius Kubilius, Marta Kos, Kaja Kallas, Piotr Serafin, Stéphane Séjourné, Magnus Brunner, Michael McGrath, Radmila Shekerinska, Geoffrey van Leeuwen, and Roberta Metsola.

One of the highlights of the visit to NATO was a meeting with Admiral Rob Bauer, Chair of the NATO Military Committee (CMC). WSF is deeply grateful for Admiral Bauer’s steadfast leadership and his invaluable contributions to strengthening NATO’s unity and readiness.

Engagement at the Annual Conclave Meeting

These high-level dialogues reinforced the shared commitment to addressing Europe’s security challenges.

Roundtable Discussions with NUPI
