The WSF Team is proud to introduce Andrew A. Michta member of the WSF2015 Program Council and speaker at the Warsaw Security Forum 2015.
Andrew A. Michta is a Professor of National Security Affairs at the U.S. Naval War College. He holds a Ph.D. in international relations from the Johns Hopkins University, and his areas of expertise are international security, NATO, and European politics and security, with a special focus on Central Europe and the Baltic States. From 1988 to 2015 Professor Michta was the M.W. Buckman Distinguished Professor of International Studies at Rhodes College. In 2013 and 2014, he was a senior fellow focusing on defense programming at the Center for European Policy Analysis in Washington, D.C. From 2011 to 2013, he was a senior transatlantic fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMFUS) and the founding director of the GMFUS Warsaw office.
Professor Michta has published books and articles on numerous issues such as U.S. and European security, transatlantic relations, civil-military relations and democratization. He is also frequent media contributor and government consultant.
