WSF2015 Speaker: Irena Krasnicka Special Envoy on Migration of the MFA of the Czech Republic

The Organizing Committee of the WSF is delighted to introduce Irena Krasnicka, Special Envoy on Migration of the MFA of the Czech Republic, who will be a speaker at the Warsaw Security Forum 2015. Mrs Krasnicka will join debate about establishment of new instruments to tackle immigration and fundamentalism challenges in Europe.

Irena Krasnicka is Special Envoy on Migration of the MFA of the Czech Republic. Before 1989 she worked in a publishing house. After 1989, she started teaching at Charles University, then she became the first Director of the Czech Centre in Warsaw (1994-1998).
In 1998, she joined the MFA. Mrs. Krasnicka has a wide experience ranging from public diplomacy to consular, security, development and humanitarian issues. She was a Director of the Press and Information Department of the MFA, she served as Consul General in Mumbai and Istanbul. In the capacity of Director of the Diplomatic Academy of the MFA, she was in charge of the preparation of the Czech Foreign Service for the Presidency of the EU Council.
Mrs Krasnicka holds MA from Charles University, she studied at Warsaw University as well. She gave lectures at Prague Charles University, the College of Europe (Bruges), Prague Metropolitan University, Bilgi University in Istanbul and also at Pune University and Bombay University in India. She authored translations from Polish, English and Estonian into Czech.
