Jens Stoltenberg Honored with the Knight of Freedom Award at the WSF 2025

Day Two of the Warsaw Security Forum was marked by high-level debates, international panels, and the prestigious Knight of Freedom Award ceremony.

The guest of honor was Jens Stoltenberg, former NATO Secretary General and former Prime Minister of Norway, who received the Knight of Freedom Award for his outstanding contributions to strengthening NATO’s eastern flank and opposing Russian aggression in Ukraine.

Laudations were delivered by Admiral Rob Bauer, former Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, and General Lloyd Austin, former U.S. Secretary of Defense, who emphasized the importance of Stoltenberg’s leadership.

Thanks to people like Jens Stoltenberg, we never forget our democratic values. In NATO, we are stronger when we stand together. And we owe this, perhaps most of all, to leaders like Jens Stoltenberg.

The Knight of Freedom Award is presented annually by the Casimir Pulaski Foundation to individuals and institutions whose achievements promote freedom, democracy, and transatlantic cooperation. This year’s ceremony underlined the Forum’s mission to recognize those who defend democratic values and to inspire future generations of leaders.
