Aleksandra Gasztold Ph.D, a professor at the University of Warsaw, is the Secretary General of Women in International Security for Poland (WIIS Poland).
She is the author of over 100 publications in the field of security studies. She has received fellowships from the University of Konstanz (2007, 2010, 2015, 2016), Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (2008), Indiana University Bloomington (2013), and the University of Vienna (2015).
A graduate of the U.S. Department of State’s IVLP program Women Leaders Promoting Peace and Security International Visitors Leadership (2024), she is also an expert for Panel 4 – Local dimension, polarization, and strengthening resilience – of the EU Knowledge Hub on the Prevention of Radicalization. She is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal Applied Cybersecurity and Internet Governance, published by the national research institute NASK since 2022.
