Member of the Sejm, Chair of the Polish-American Parliamentary Group, Poland

Polish politician, political scientist, and humanitarian, Member of Parliament of the Republic of Poland. Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, National Defense Committee, NATO Subcommittee, and Committee on Relations with Poles Abroad. Chair of the Polish-American Parliamentary Caucus, Vice-Chair of the Polish-Ukrainian, the Polish-Italian, the Polish-Armenian, and the Polish-Thai Parliamentary Caucuses. Member of the Advisory Board for Development Cooperation.

Prior to politics, she specialised in humanitarian response to war-driven crises. Following Russia’s re-invasion, she led the evacuation of Ukrainian orphanages to Poland and served as the Head of Mission for INTERSOS in Ukraine. Aleksandra Uznańska-Wisniewska has also notably served as the Head of Mission for Polish Humanitarian Action in Yemen, in response to the cholera and COVID-19 outbreaks. Earlier, she worked for RNVDO in Iraq, and at UNDP in Turkey and Jordan in response to the Syrian crisis. Additionally, she volunteered and conducted field research on human rights in refugee camps across Europe.
