Andrii Sybiha

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ukraine

Andrii Sybiha, born in 1975 in Zboriv, Ukraine, is a Ukrainian diplomat and statesman. He graduated from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv in 1997 as a specialist in international relations and interpreter of English, and in 1999 earned a degree in law. Beginning his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he served in various legal and diplomatic roles, including positions at the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland (1998–2002, 2008–2012), and later as Head of the Directorate General for Consular Service (2012–2016). From 2016 to 2021, he was Ambassador of Ukraine to Türkiye.

In 2021, Sybiha became Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, a role he held until 2024. He then briefly served as First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs before being appointed Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on May 9, 2024. Fluent in Ukrainian, English, and Polish, he is married and the father of three children.
