Emmanuel Bonne (born 1970) is a French diplomat and since May 2019 has been serving as Diplomatic Advisor and G7–G20 Sherpa to the President of the French Republic. He graduated from the Institute for Political Studies of Grenoble and holds a postgraduate diploma in political science.
Bonne entered the French diplomatic service in 2000 after passing the foreign affairs competition. He worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris in the North Africa and Middle East Department (2000–2003), before postings as Second Counselor in Tehran (2003–2006), First Counselor in Riyadh (2006–2009), and First Counselor at the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations in New York (2009–2012). He then became Diplomatic Advisor for North Africa, the Middle East and the United Nations to the President of the Republic (2012–2015), and served as Ambassador of France to Lebanon from 2015 to 2017. From May 2017 to 2019, Bonne was Chief of Staff to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs before assuming his current role at the Élysée.
Earlier in his career, he worked as a researcher at the Center for Contemporary Middle East Research and Studies in Beirut (1996–1999) and completed voluntary service in Istanbul (1993–1995).
