Gustav Lindström is the Director General of the Council of the Baltic Sea States’ (CBSS) Secretariat since 1 September 2024, having previously served as its Deputy Director General.
Before joining the CBSS, he served as Director of the EU Institute for Security Studies – the European Union’s agency analysing foreign, security and defence policy issues based in Paris.
Mr. Lindström holds a Doctorate in Policy Analysis from the RAND Graduate School and a Master of Arts degree in International Policy Studies from Stanford University.
