Hristo Stoykov is the Director of the Security and Defence and also serves as the Head of Advisory Services and Mandate Management department at the EIB.
Before assuming this role, Hristo led the EIB’s Venture Debt, Equity, and EIC Fund Investment Advisory activities. He joined the front office operations of the EIB in 2007, working on various innovation finance operations, including the original Risk Sharing Finance Facility mandate between the EC and EIB.
Prior to joining the EIB, Hristo held investment banking and finance positions in Canada, the US, and Bulgaria.
He holds an MBA degree from York University, Toronto.
