He graduated from the Military University of Technology (1988) and completed postgraduate studies in administration at the University of Warsaw (1995) and in defense policy at the U.S. National Defense University (2008). In 2022, he earned a PhD from Poznan University of Technology.
He began his military career in 1988 as an engineer at the Military Institute of Armament Technology, later serving as a platoon commander, maintenance specialist, and in various logistics and planning roles within the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces. He participated in international missions, including Iraq (2005–2006) and Afghanistan (2009–2010), holding senior logistics and staff positions. He commanded the 1st Logistics Brigade (2008), served as Head of the Armed Forces Support Inspectorate (2016–2019), and became Deputy Chief of the General Staff in 2019.
From 2020, he served at the National Security Bureau, becoming its head in 2025. He retired with the rank of Lieutenant General after over 41 years of service.
