Marc Darmon graduated from École Polytechnique and Télécom ParisTech. He began his career at Alcatel in 1988, where he successively held the positions of research engineer, head of technical department, product line manager, and finally Director of the Networks Department.
He joined the Thales Group in 1998 within Thales Communications as Director of the “Infrastructure Networks” Department. In 2000, he became Managing Director of the “Networks” Unit at Thales Communications. In 2002, he was appointed Vice President, Strategy & Advanced Systems of Thales Communications.
From 2004 to 2006, he served as Managing Director of the “Joint Systems” Unit, which brought together the areas of communication and broadcasting networks, command systems, intelligence, and security.
From 2006 to 2008, Marc Darmon was Managing Director of Thales Communications. In 2009, he became Deputy Managing Director of the Thales Group and Managing Director of Thales’ Naval Division. In 2010, Marc Darmon was appointed Senior Vice President, Director of Audit and Internal Control of the Thales Group.
On September 1, 2012, Marc Darmon became Senior Vice President, Defense and Security C4I Systems, and as such, a member of the Thales Executive Committee. Since 2013, he has been Deputy Managing Director and member of the Thales Executive Committee, in charge of secure information and communication systems activities.
