We are pleased to announce the official commencement of the working sessions for the WSF 2026 Annual Report. The high-level inaugural meeting convened an esteemed group of Contributors representing Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, and Denmark.

The inaugural session was formally opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, H.E. Espen Barth Eide, who provided the strategic scene-setting for the project. This occasion marked the beginning of a rigorous collaborative process involving 28 distinguished contributors from a broad international spectrum, including 4 sitting ministers, 10 members of parliaments, senior military officials, and representatives from think tanks and civil society organizations. This diverse coalition of stakeholders underscores the inclusive and multi-dimensional nature of the Report, ensuring a comprehensive range of expert perspectives from across the Nordic-Baltic-Poland axis.

Titled Securing Europe from the Eastern Flank to the High North: The Role of the Nordic, Baltic and Polish Group„, the WSF2026 Annual Report will focus on a region that has rapidly emerged as the indispensable strategic frontier of European security. Through a series of upcoming working sessions, the Report will deliver concrete policy recommendations structured around three thematic pillars: Foreign Policy & European Integration, Defence & International Security and Energy & Resilience.

This collaborative endeavor reflects our steadfast commitment to regional stability and a unified European response to emerging security challenges. The final findings and strategic recommendations of the WSF 2026 Annual Report will be officially presented ahead of the upcoming WSF Annual Gathering taking place on 12-13 October 2026.
