Ibrahimovic served as Deputy Prime Minister for Regional Development and Minister of Capital Investments in the 43rd Government of Montenegro, Consul at the Consulate General of Montenegro in Frankfurt, from 2011 to 2016. During this time, he was also the organizer of several humanitarian activities.
During the 26th and 27th Parliament of Montenegro, he served as the MP. For the purpose of professional development, he was also an active participant and panelist in numerous conferences and seminars, forums and round tables, mainly in the field of democracy, diplomacy, European integration, and Montenegro's membership in NATO.
In 2004 he attended the Diplomatic Academy "Gavro Vuković" in Podgorica, and in 2005 the School of Diplomatic Leadership "NDC Podgorica", and since 2000 he has been a professor at the Secondary Vocational School, and in 2010 an advisor for external evaluation of the quality of educational work.
