Her executive and editorial leadership roles include serving as Director of the Institute for Government (2016–2022), Editor and Chief Executive of Prospect magazine (2010–2016), and holding senior editorial positions at The Times and the Financial Times.
Prior to her journalism and policy career, she worked as an investment analyst and Director at Kleinwort Benson Securities, leading its global media equities team. She holds a degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from St John’s College, Oxford. She is an Honorary Fellow of St John’s College, an Honorary Fellow of the British Academy, and an Honorary Governor of Ditchley, and contributes regular commentary to the Financial Times.
