Daniel E. White is Managing Director at Strategy Risks, a geopolitical risk advisory firm, and a Visiting Fellow at George Mason University's National Security Institute. He previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for Strategy and Policy Planning, where he led the counter-UAS policy review and Northern Border Framework. Earlier roles include deputy chief of staff to the 25th Secretary of the Army and special assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategy, Plans, and Capabilities. A graduate of the US Military Academy, he served as a field artillery officer in the US Army with deployments to East Asia and the Middle East. He holds an MPA from Columbia SIPA and is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
