A Turkish academic, executive, and public servant who serves as Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and as a Member of Parliament representing Ankara, following his election in May 2023.
His career in public administration and national executive leadership includes serving as the first Vice President of Türkiye under the Presidential Government System from 2018 to 2023. Prior to this role, he served as Undersecretary of the Prime Ministry, Head of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), and Assistant General Manager of Turkish Airlines Technic.
Trained in industrial engineering and executive management, he holds a degree from Çukurova University, along with master's degrees in manufacturing engineering and business administration, and a PhD in industrial engineering from Wayne State University. In addition to private sector experience in the automotive and technology sectors in the United States, his academic background includes work as a university department head, deputy dean, and associate professor in management and strategy.
