An American nuclear energy executive, engineer, and former naval specialist who serves as President and Chief Nuclear Officer of The Nuclear Company.
In his executive role, he is responsible for project deployment, regulatory affairs, technology initiatives, and operational readiness for new nuclear builds. Over a career spanning more than 30 years in commercial and military nuclear operations, he has managed projects valued at over $35 billion and directed teams exceeding 11,000 personnel.
At Southern Company, he oversaw the construction and operational recovery of Vogtle Units 3 and 4—the first new nuclear power plant build in the United States in decades—and restored operational excellence to Vogtle Units 1 and 2. He previously served as Fleet Operations Director for Duke Energy, overseeing six nuclear power stations, and co-founded an industry initiative with Exelon focused on operational performance. His commercial nuclear experience also includes working as a licensed Senior Reactor Operator and Shift Manager at Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant.
He began his career in the United States Navy, operating naval nuclear reactors, steam propulsion plants, and serving as the top enlisted leader aboard a deep-submergence nuclear research submarine, earning seven Navy Achievement Medals. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Thomas Edison State University and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University.
