An energy executive and engineer who serves as a Member of the Executive Board of Siemens Energy AG and Siemens Energy Management GmbH, positions he has held since March 2022.
In his executive board role, he is responsible for the Gas Services business area as well as regional operations across China, the Middle East, and Africa. Having joined Siemens in 2001, his career spans leadership positions in service operations, sales, strategy, and power plant operations. His executive management history includes serving as Senior Vice President for Siemens Energy Service in the Middle East and North Africa (2011) and CEO of the Global Siemens Oil & Gas unit (2014).
From 2015, he directed global sales for Power Generation before heading the Gas and Steam Turbines product business unit. Beginning in 2020, he served as Executive Vice President leading the Power Generation Division prior to its transition into the Gas Services business area. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cairo University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Warwick.
