Coordinates research on critical resources, climate diplomacy, and global affairs, with extensive analysis of European diplomatic performance in key areas including energy, food security, public health, and water management.
Her career includes four years as a Research Fellow at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels prior to joining the Clingendael Institute. She currently serves as a Member of the Netherlands Advisory Council on Energy, the Committee on European Integration of the Advisory Council International Affairs (AIV), and the Supervisory Board of IUCN Netherlands. She is also a guest lecturer at Leiden University and the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University.
She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Leiden University and a Ph.D. in Political Science from KU Leuven. Her publications focus on European foreign policy, geopolitics, and sustainability issues.
