Her prior experience includes serving as a fellow at the Foreign Policy Institute at Johns Hopkins University (SAIS), testifying as an expert witness before the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee on the Western Balkans, and lecturing at the Free University of Berlin. Earlier in her career, she held management and advisory roles with the Delegation of the European Commission and the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, participating in state-building and governance reforms.
She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from the European University Institute, an M.A. from Central European University, and a B.A. from Agnes Scott College. She has also been affiliated with the Gulf Research Center in Riyadh.
