A Polish legislator and parliamentary leader who serves as a Member of the European Parliament, sitting on both the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Security and Defence.
In his European legislative duties, he serves as the European Parliament's Negotiator on the Military Mobility Legislative Package and as Standing Rapporteur for relations with the United States. His background in international parliamentary diplomacy includes leadership roles as President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and Co-Chair of the Ukraine-NATO Interparliamentary Council.
Prior to his election to the European Parliament, he served from 2007 to 2024 as a Member of the Polish Parliament, representing Warsaw and the Polish diaspora. During his tenure in the Sejm, he chaired the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee investigating the Polish Visa Scandal and co-authored the book The Great Harvest: How PiS Stole Poland. His international public service has been recognized with the Georgian Order of Honor and the Medal of Merit awarded by the Ukrainian Parliament.
