Is the Minister of State of Qatar, a position held since 2023 under Amiri Decree No. 5. Mandate focuses on mediation efforts, conflict resolution, and advancing Qatar's role in the peaceful settlement of international disputes.
Previously served as Assistant Foreign Minister for Regional Affairs, Legal Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Agent of the State of Qatar before the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
Prior to diplomatic appointments, served as Dean of the College of Law at Qatar University, an adjudicator at the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority, and a lawyer before the Qatari Court of Cassation. Holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from Qatar University, as well as a Master’s and Ph.D. in Law from the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to legal publications, sits on several key governing boards and permanent state committees, including the Qatar Foundation, the Qatar Financial Markets Authority, and the Permanent Committee on Legislative Affairs at the Council of Ministers.
