Associate Professor at ELTE University, whose research focuses on disinformation, conspiracy theories, populism, and democratic resilience.
He holds policy and academic affiliations as a Reagan-Fascell Fellow at the National Endowment for Democracy and a Senior Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis. His previous appointments include Europe’s Futures Visiting Fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM), non-resident Associate Fellow at the Johns Hopkins University SAIS Bologna Institute of Policy Research, Fulbright Visiting Professor at Indiana University, PopBack Fellow at the University of Cambridge, and Senior Fellow at the Central European University Institute for Advanced Study. He also co-chaired the PREVENT working group of the EU Radicalisation Awareness Network (RAN).
He is the author of The Hungarian Far Right (co-authored with Attila Juhász) and a social science study on fake news and conspiracy theories. His analysis appears frequently in international outlets such as Foreign Affairs, the Journal of Democracy, Financial Times, and The Guardian.
