On July 9th, 2024, the Warsaw Security Forum held an official side-event to the NATO Summit in Washington D.C. — a high-level dinner entitled Programming for the Upcoming Challenges: Vision for NATO & Transatlantic Security 2024 & Beyond.

The event was organized in partnership with the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe, with members of the U.S. House of Representatives, Thomas Kean Jr. and William Keating, serving as Honorary Co-Hosts. Additionally, the event was co-hosted by Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Sweden’s Minister of Defence, Pål Jonson and National Security Advisor to the President of Poland, Jacek Siewiera.

The presence of Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Olha Stefanishyna and Minister of Defence, Rustem Umerov was particularly significant, emphasizing the key role Ukraine is playing in Transatlantic security by fighting back Russian aggression.

The high-level dinner focused on addressing current and future challenges to NATO’s defense and security in Europe, including strengthening political and military support for Ukraine. Key topics included also boosting NATO member states’ industrial capabilities, and the perspectives for NATO expansion to include Ukraine.

The event organizer, the Pulaski Foundation, was represented by President Zbigniew Pisarski and Prof. Katarzyna Pisarska — Chair of the Warsaw Security Forum.
