Mieczysław (Mietek) Boduszyński is Associate Professor of Politics and International Relations at Pomona College, and a former diplomat with the U.S. Department of State with postings in Albania, Kosovo, Japan, Egypt, Libya, and Iraq. From 2022-2023 he worked in the Office of the U.S. Secretary of Defense, advising on issues related to war crimes, accountability, and civilian harm. He has also worked as a foreign policy advisor for Congressman Ted Lieu. Nowadays he is a professor at Pomona College. Mietek is the author of a book on U.S. policy responses to the Arab Spring and another on democratization and Europeanization in the Balkans, among many other publications on subjects relating to human rights, democratization, transitional justice, and U.S. foreign policy. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
