Emmanuel Bonne, a graduate of the Institute for Political Studies in Grenoble, holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Political Science. His career began in March 2000 when he successfully passed the competitive examination for the position of Counselor of Foreign Affairs with a focus on Asia. He then worked at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris from 2000 to 2003, specializing in the North Africa and Middle East Department. From 2003 to 2006, he served as Second Counselor in Tehran, followed by a position as First Counselor in Riyadh from 2006 to 2009.In August 2009, Emmanuel Bonne became First Counselor at the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations in New York. In May 2012, he was appointed Diplomatic Advisor for North Africa, the Middle East, and the United Nations to the President of the French Republic. His experience and expertise led to his appointment as the Ambassador of France to the Republic of Lebanon in August 2015.In May 2017, Emmanuel Bonne became the Chief of Staff to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and in May 2019, he was appointed Diplomatic Advisor and G7-G20 Sherpa to the President of the French Republic.
