Marcin Bużański

Marcin Bużański is a political scientist and an expert in foreign and security policy. He is the Director of the Center for Diplomacy and Negotiation at Collegium Civitas, a Senior Advisor at the Warsaw Security Forum and Pulaski Foundation, the President of the Polish Leadership Network, and a co-founder of the New Currents group. In his role with the New Currents consortium, he focuses on advising governments, international organizations, and think tanks on foreign and security policy, international conflicts and crises, and institutional development. Marcin has provided consultation services to the EU, OSCE, UN, GMF, IPU, UNDP, and others. Previously, he co-founded and served as President of Expertise on Demand, a global network of experts. He spent several years working at the UN, both at its Headquarters in New York and Geneva. He also led a political transition support project in Somalia and worked on post-conflict governance, primarily in Africa and the Middle East. His experience includes response planning following the so-called 'Arab Spring' and supporting political transitions in Iraq and Afghanistan. Marcin has also advised the UN on projects in Sudan (Darfur), South Sudan, Liberia, and Central Asia. He holds degrees from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University in New York, as well as from the Institute for International Affairs and the European Centre—both departments of the University of Warsaw.
