Arnaud Danjean

Arnaud Danjean (born 11 February 1971) is a French politician of The Republicans (LR) who served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from 2009 to 2024. He was elected a member of the Regional Council of Burgundy in 2010 and later to the newly created Regional Council of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in 2015, where he held a seat until his resignation in 2017. In the European Parliament from 2009 to 2024, Danjean represented France's East constituency until 2019, when he was reelected for a third term in the nationwide constituency. He chaired the European Parliament Subcommittee on Security and Defence (SEDE) from 2009 to 2014, a subcommittee of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET). As a member of LR, Danjean was part of the European People's Party (EPP).
