Terry Martin is a Berlin-based broadcaster with decades of experience in international news. Formerly an anchor with CNN International, Terry is now Senior Anchor with DW News, Germany’s global media service. He is also the founder and director of the research communications agency SPIA. Terry has hosted scores of discussion programs and interviewed countless political and business leaders, scientists, and activists around the world. Frequently in demand as an event moderator, Terry has moderated major conferences for public and private-sector clients in Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East. For several years Terry served as Contributing Editor and Germany Correspondent for Europe Magazine and wrote a bimonthly newsletter on foreign direct investment. In 2010 he wrote the European Commission’s widely used guidebook “Communicating research for evidence-based policymaking”. Born in Canada, Terry studied English and philosophy in the US and now lives in Germany.
