Oleksandr Merezhko renowned for his dedication to legal affairs and human rights. As a full member of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights since January 27, 2020, he has played a crucial role in shaping policies that uphold justice and protect human rights.

From January 27, 2020, to January 23, 2022, Oleksandr Merezhko served as the Vice-President of the Assembly's Bureau and the Vice-President of the Assembly's Standing Committee. His leadership during this period was instrumental in fostering productive discussions and guiding the Assembly towards its objectives.

In recognition of the importance of human rights, Oleksandr Merezhko has been an active full member of the Sub-Committee on Human Rights since January 28, 2020. He also served as the Vice-Chairperson of the Sub-Committee from March 22, 2021, to January 25, 2022, further showcasing his commitment to advocating for the rights and dignity of individuals.
